My name is Pontus Wolke and I have been writing and telling stories all my life.

My debut novel The Spire War is out in online bookstores now!
I am in the planning stages of its sequel and I’ve got several other projects buzzing about in my head as well as my planning tools, amongst them a little something I am currently simply calling the ‘Aether project’.
About my work
My writing is heavily influenced by the likes of Alastair Reynolds, Iain M. Banks, Arthur C. Clarke, Neal Asher and many others.
Space opera (although god help me if I’ve heard two people explain that genre the same way) and ‘hard sci-fi’ have always been my jam ever since I picked up a copy of 2001 as a teenager and it colours my writing to this day.
I tend to write plot-heavy stories and I want my work to be inclusive and open to all to enjoy.
My debut novel, The Spire War, has been compared to works by Peter F. Hamilton and Dennis E. Taylor.
About me
I’m a Swedish sci-fi and space enthusiast with a passion for writing and telling stories. Apart from my writing I am also heavily involved in the board gaming community and have acted as chairman for Sweden’s largest and oldest gaming convention.
When I’m not writing or gaming I work as a training specialist in customer service.
I live on Sweden’s west coast with my wife and our two cats.
